Burundi
DU Burundi started in 2009 as a continuation of the profitable partnership between ST Foundation and WITAR (Associazione Istituto Tecnico Alessandro Rossi nel Mondo).
The Foundation had namely sponsored the Technical School run by the NGO, allowing it to expand its educational tools and resources through the use of ICTs. The NGO will now ensure the running of ICB courses for students and for the outside community. The center has been equipped by WITAR at the school’s premises in Ngozi, a town in the north of Burundi, 120 km from the capital, Bujumbura.

Future trainers for the computer lab were trained in March 2009 by a team of ST volunteers which ensured the simultaneous training of teachers for the Rwandan and Congolese labs, in the true spirit of DU transnational cooperation.
