Malta
The Digital Unify was launched in Malta in 2003, making use of two ST internal labs which are still operational to this day. Over the years, a number of labs were opened, namely: FITA (Foundation for IT Accessibility), a lab for people with special needs and Nadur Lab, a lab located in the sister island of Gozo, in conjuction with one of the local councils.

The latest addition is the lab at the Foundation for Disabled People
from Bormla. This latter was equipped with hardware previously located at the former lab at SATU (Substance Abuse Therapeutic Unit), part of the national correction facilities, where, after training all inmates, lab was dismantled. DU Malta trained over 2'500 trainees as of 2007.
