The Digital Unify Program is active in Morocco since 2003. Relying on the praiseworthy volunteer work of many ST employees, its activity has been on a steady growth since then.

Recent additions in 2009 include Goulmim, Laayoune, Missour and Meknes.

Since 2003, the Program has formed over 40.000 trainees being by far the best performing country among those where DU was launched.
The important number of labs entailed relying on external trainers, in addiction with continuous support by the ST - DU Team.
This tight-knit team recently developed a solution which enabled reaching a largest catchment area during summer time: having mobile labs.

The ICB course could this way reach unprivileged youngsters living in remote areas of the country, far from the usual labs locations.
The Foundation’s computer literacy course is provided in French and tips and explanations are at times provided by local trainers in Arab.

In February 2008, ST Foundation signed a convention with the Training Department of the Moroccan Ministry of Interior which will enable its employees to profit from the DU course. Eight labs have already been established under this cooperation agreement.
STMicroelectronics Foundation will soon inaugurate a Liaison Office in Morocco. The Foundation’s direct presence in the field will assure maximization of support and further expansion of DU’s activity.
