In June 2008 ST Foundation launched a partnership with ANEJ (Agence National pour l'Emploi des Jeunes – National Agency for the Employment of Youth) for the deployment of Digital Unify in Senegal.

Its pilot phase consisted in the equipment of six centers in Grand Dakar, Yarak, Yoff, Nimzat, Bignona and Marsassoum.

In 2010, based on the success of the pilot phase, a second phase was launched with the opening of twelve additional labs in the towns of Pire, Kedougou, Koungueul, Rufisque Est, Galoya, Pikine, Parcelles Assainies, Guinguineo, Linguere, Kahone, Dagana, Kaffrine.

Senegal

The project has relied on local constituencies (NGOs, youth associations and the like) and has been very popular, as it offers basic computer training free of cost to all those who have no knowledge on how to use a PC.

The project has trained over 24’000 beneficiaries throughout the country as of December 2012.
