The Tablet For Seniors Course (T4S) aims to address the rising IT usage needs among the elderly. The project was designed especially for the aging European population, who were forced to adapt to and adopt new technologies during the pandemic to avoid isolation and marginalization.
The new learning path was developed in close collaboration with our trusted partner seed, that already supported the organization in creating the T4K course.
The T4S course is divided into ten modules of two-hour classes each. The participants first learn and perform basic activities on tablets, such as: surfing the Internet, taking photos, shooting videos, etc. These basic competencies are then further developed into more advanced ones, such as organizing trips, using customized apps for daily activity planning, etc.
The pilot course was first scheduled in Italy for the second half of 2020. However, due to Covid 19, it was put on hold and rescheduled for December 2021. Based on the collected feedback, the course contents were reviewed and finalized in the first quarter of 2022. The Foundation and its volunteers are now ready to cascade the course in the whole country.
