Barthélémy Lukere works as an Electronics Engineer in Congo. His journey with us began in 2005 at the NYAMOKOLA Institute, during his first computer science lessons. This pivotal experience ignited his passion for electronics and set him on a path of continuous growth and improvement.
Thanks to this opportunity, he pursued further studies in computer science and became a teacher at the Kasali Institute in the electronics section. Interestingly, his school was home to one of our DU labs, bringing him back into contact with us. This time, as a teacher, he witnessed firsthand how the organization was shaping not just his career but also the lives of many students.
We donated valuable equipment, including STM32 kits and other STMicroelectronics materials, which Barthélémy and the other teachers used to enhance educational practices in electronics across Congo. These resources became the cornerstone of these robotics classes, enabling the teachers to create the first student team to compete at the international level.
In 2023, the Kasali Institute proudly represented the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) at the Global Robotics Competition in Singapore. This opportunity allowed the team to showcase their skills and passion for electronics and robotics on an international stage, a testament to the transformative impact of our support.
Their journey with us, one bit at a time, has demonstrated that every small step is part of a larger journey. Each bit of knowledge and every moment of learning has contributed to their achievements. This philosophy of gradual progress and persistent effort is what Barthélémy hopes to pass on to future generations.
