STMicroelectronics Foundation
Born in Italy, Giovanna Bottani has lived on three continents and traveled extensively. She has over 22 years of experience in philanthropy and corporate social responsibility (CSR), working with organizations such as STMicroelectronics as a CSR specialist (2003), the ST Foundation as Deputy Director of Operations (2006), the Italian Center for Social Responsibility (I-CSR) of the Ministry of Labor as External Communication Manager (2007), and various sustainability consulting agencies.
Giovanna holds a degree in political sciences and international politics from the University of Milan, along with three master’s degrees in CSR, corporate communication, and business innovation processes. In 2016, she completed a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Non-Profit Management at the University of Geneva.
In 2012, she became Director of Operations at the STMicroelectronics Foundation, reporting to the President and overseeing global projects. In 2023, she played a key role in forming a strategic partnership with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) to enhance digital skills in underserved communities. This collaboration strengthens the Foundation’s mission to promote digital inclusion and sustainable development. Giovanna’s international experience and commitment to social responsibility drive the Foundation’s initiatives, empowering individuals and communities through technology and education.
