The ST Foundation is the non-profit corporate foundation of STMicroelectronics, a global high-tech company creating semiconductor technologies for a smarter, greener, and more sustainable future.
Established in 2001, we work to bridge the digital divide by building infrastructure, cultivating local expertise, and delivering comprehensive educational programs in numerous communities all around the world. ST Foundation’s mission is to develop, coordinate and sponsor projects that employ the use of modern sciences and the latest technology to promote human progress. To increase our effectiveness in bridging the technological divide in vulnerable areas, we partner with various non-profit organizations globally.
We have made a significant impact with our flagship Digital Unify Program our extensive educational initiative active in 12 countries across Europe, Asia, and Africa. Since its launch in 2003, this program has trained over one million individuals, adapting our methods to meet the needs of various groups, including children, adults, individuals with disabilities, and the elderly.
From an operational point of view, we differentiate the intervention areas into two categories:
Countries where STMicroelectronics has a solid operational presence, including specific communities in developed and developing countries where economic distress persists.
Other countries, mainly those where there is a huge need to overcome social, economic, and technological inequalities to facilitate human progress and economic growth.
At the core of our Foundation are our volunteers — current and retired STMicroelectronics employees — who dedicate their time to help others. Their commitment drives our projects and fortifies our culture of community involvement and volunteering.
Together, we are more than a foundation; we are a community committed to making a significant, lasting impact.
