Mudassir Hussain is a 21-year-old visually impaired young man living in Pakistan. He recently embarked on a transformative journey when he joined the computer training program at the Digital Transformation Center-Pakistan, at the Pakistan Virtual University. This program, organized by us in collaboration with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), marked a significant milestone in his life.
Before enrolling in the course, Mudassir had a rudimentary understanding of computers but lacked formal training. The program, led by highly skilled trainers, provided exceptional guidance and support, making Mudassir feel professionally respected in an educational setting for the first time. The comprehensive training covered various aspects of computer usage and applications in great detail, significantly enhancing his knowledge and skills.
One of the most remarkable improvements Mudassir experienced was in his typing abilities. The trainers focused on helping him master the keyboard, an essential tool for visually impaired individuals to navigate and interact with technology. Additionally, he gained valuable expertise in using the Microsoft Office Suite, which he believes will be instrumental in shaping his future endeavors.
In today’s technology-driven world, Mudassir now feels more confident and equipped to actively contribute to the digital era. He is optimistic that the knowledge and skills acquired during the training will greatly assist him professionally.
