Atul’s story of determination and success

Atul’s story of determination and success

Atul, a 20-year-old from New Delhi, lived in a rented house with his father and brother. His father, a laborer, was the sole breadwinner, making it difficult to sustain the family. Determined to improve their circumstances, Atul sought opportunities to develop new skills and support his family.

Through a friend’s recommendation, Atul learned about the short-term courses offered by the GMR Varalakshmi Foundation, in collaboration with us.

He enrolled in the Basic Electrical training and was also offered the ST Foundation’s 90-day Informatics Computer Basics course. Initially skeptical about learning computers alongside his electrical training, Atul was pleasantly surprised by the comprehensive digital literacy program. He gained essential skills in computer operations and internet use, and even created his own resume—an achievement that boosted both his confidence and employability.

After completing the course, Atul secured a position as an Engineer Support Assistant at the Yashobhoomi Convention Center in the city. This milestone has not only improved his family’s financial situation but also given Atul the confidence to dream bigger. He is now a role model for others in his community, proving that determination and the right opportunities can lead to success.

The collaboration between us and the GMR Varalakshmi Foundation represents a shared commitment to empowering India’s youth through education and skill development. Together, backed by our global founder companies, we aim to provide young individuals like Atul with the tools they need to build a brighter future. By combining resources, expertise, and a shared vision, this partnership is creating pathways for underprivileged youth to gain meaningful employment and transform their lives.
