2023 marks a significant milestone in our journey to bridge the digital divide. This year, we celebrated two decades of impactful action, having reached over 1,095,530 beneficiaries since the foundation’s inception. In 2023 alone, 123,440 individuals participated in our Digital Unify (DU) programs, gaining critical digital skills that empowered them to thrive in today’s connected world. One of our proudest achievements this year was our partnership with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), which has amplified our global efforts to ensure that no one is left behind in the digital age.
A powerful story that illustrates the essence of our work comes from Mariatu, a student from Sierra Leone. Before attending our Introduction to Computer Basics (ICB) course, she had never used a computer. By the end of the program, she was confidently creating documents, navigating the Internet, and even designing invitations for her uncle’s printing business. Mariatu’s transformation is just one example of how access to digital education can open doors and change lives.
This year’s report is not just about the numbers—it’s about the one million stories like Mariatu’s that demonstrate the transformative power of digital inclusion. Our beneficiaries, trainers, and volunteers are the backbone of our mission, and their journeys remind us that with the right tools and education, a more inclusive and empowered future is within reach for everyone.
