Digital Unify sparks creativity in Malaysian youth during school holidays
During the recent school holidays, we successfully conducted two engaging programs in Malaysia, included in our Digital Unify initiative: Tablet 4 Kids @Home (T4K) and Introduction to Computer Basics (ICB) in ST, with a total of 40 students completing the courses and gaining valuable skills.
The T4K @ Home program targeted children of employees aged 9 to 12. Each student was provided a tablet for a week to complete assigned tasks under parental guidance. Progress was shared via a dedicated WhatsApp group. This inaugural group included 20 enthusiastic participants, marking a proud milestone for the initiative.
Meanwhile, the ICB in ST course, a popular program running for three years, brought together 20 energetic students aged 11 to 12 for a two-day hands-on training at ST Muar. Experienced volunteers from various departments guided the students through practical learning experiences.
Both groups celebrated their achievements in a certificate ceremony held at the Auditorium, attended by proud parents. The event also featured an exciting “window tour” of the ST test facility – a guided visit where the students could view on-going operations inside the plant through designated a viewing corridor. A very exciting moment for them all!
These programs highlight Digital Unify’s commitment to nurturing young talent and fostering a passion for technology through innovative and interactive learning experiences.
