Meet Giuseppe Notarnicola: strategic stewardship in service of the ST Foundation
Welcome to the first edition of Inside our mission: Conversations with ST Foundation leaders, a new series dedicated to introducing our board members and the inspiration behind their commitment to the Foundation. In this series, we will interview board members to learn more about their journeys, the challenges they have faced, and the positive impact they are helping create through the Foundation.
In this first edition, we shine a light on Giuseppe Notarnicola, ST Executive Vice-President for Treasury, M&A, Insurance, and Intellectual Property, as well as President of ST Italy. His contribution to the Foundation combines leadership, responsibility, and a deep appreciation for the people behind its mission.
Giuseppe’s involvement with the ST Foundation began with a strong admiration for its volunteers. Over time, that connection became even more direct when, in his role as Corporate Treasurer, he was asked to oversee the investment strategy of the Foundation’s assets. This responsibility reflects an important, though often unseen, part of the Foundation’s work: ensuring that resources are managed thoughtfully so they can continue to support meaningful initiatives.
For Giuseppe, the impact of the ST Foundation is clear in its commitment to helping those who need it most, including children, the elderly, and people facing the challenges of the digital divide. This focus on inclusion and support gives the Foundation’s mission both purpose and reach, touching lives in ways that are practical, human, and lasting.
Among the many initiatives supported by the Foundation, Giuseppe is especially proud of the funding made possible through asset management allocation and ST’s annual donations. These contributions help sustain the Foundation’s activities and enable a wide range of projects that continue to make a difference.
Giuseppe believes it is important to set ambitious goals, as long as they remain realistic and achievable.
His message to current and future ST employees is one of shared responsibility and generosity: devote part of your time to helping those who are less fortunate, because this can contribute to building a better future for all.
