Empowering seniors through technology: a new class graduates in the Philippines
We are deeply honored each time we witness seniors successfully complete our Tablet for Seniors (T4S) program, within the Digital Unify (DU) initiative. These moments remind us why digital inclusion truly matters in our communities.  Last February we proudly celebrated the third class of T4S graduates from the Cabuyao DU Center, composed of 18 active members from various seniors’ associations. This milestone represents not just the end of a course, but the beginning of a more connected, confident, and digitally empowered life for our senior learners.

This success would not be possible without the strong and consistent support of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Cabuyao.  By providing an environment where seniors can learn for free, the LGU helps ensure that age is not a barrier to digital literacy. Together with the LGU, our Digital Unify program continues to bring structured, relevant, and accessible learning opportunities to communities that need them most. Through these efforts, we continue to work towards our mission of bridging the digital divide and ensuring that no one is left behind in the digital era.

We are excited to welcome more grandmas and grandpas into future T4S classes at the Cabuyao DU Center and beyond.

Nenita shared that before the course, she had very limited knowledge of tablets. During the sessions, she learned everything from basic device care to confidently navigating online games, shopping platforms, and digital payments.

She emphasized how these skills help her both enjoy her free time and manage everyday digital tasks more independently.

Evangeline highlighted how the program opened her eyes to many useful and educational applications.

She now uses apps for daily reflections, listens to music on her tablet for relaxation and enjoyment, and accesses health-related information online to support her overall well-being.
