Imran Qudsia, a 25-year-old visually impaired trainer from Islamabad, recently participated in our training for visually impaired people deployed in Pakistan since November. She wanted to enhance her keyboard skills and learning effective ways to teach visually impaired individuals. For Imran, the keyboard serves as a primary tool for navigation, learning, and performing various tasks.
The program fostered a collaborative environment where sighted trainers guided visually impaired individuals, and in return, visually impaired individuals shared their unique insights and knowledge with the trainers. This mutual exchange of learning was both enriching and inspiring for Imran. She appreciated the opportunity to work closely with sighted trainers and learn from their experiences. The program helped her develop new teaching methods and techniques that she could use to better support her students.
She is determined to continue sharing her knowledge and skills with others, helping them thrive in a digital world, and we are proud to have her on our side.
The computer training program is hosted by the Digital Transformation Center-Pakistan in the Virtual University of Pakistan building and organized in collaboration with ITU.
