Our course enhances technological knowledge by equipping attendees with advanced coding skills and hands-on training using STM32 MCU starter kits, enabling them to share their newfound expertise and foster digital literacy throughout their community.
From June 24 to June 28, 2024, we conducted a “Train the Trainer” course in Freetown, Sierra Leone. This initiative aimed to enhance technological knowledge by equipping attendees with advanced coding skills. The sessions were led by our master teacher from Senegal, Sada Kane, who provided comprehensive instructions on working with STM32 MCU starter kits and offered hands-on training in programming.
Participants engaged in various practical tasks, including building automated gates, creating dancing robots, and exploring methods to optimize plant growth. They also tackled more intricate projects such as humidity monitors and drawer alarms, gaining a robust understanding of programming and constructing circuits using microcontrollers, sensors, and actuators.
By the end of the week, the trainers were well-prepared to disseminate their newly acquired skills to their students, ensuring the workshop’s impact would resonate throughout the country. This initiative underscores our commitment to sustainable development, paving the way for a digitally literate Sierra Leone and a more interconnected future for the nation.
