ST Calamba’s Tablets for Seniors @Home program is a success

ST Calamba’s Tablets for Seniors @Home program is a success
We recently conducted the second round of our “Tablets for Seniors at Home” (T4S@Home) program in Calamba, Philippines, with enthusiastic participation from senior members of ST employee families. This initiative aims to empower family members aged 55 and above by teaching them how to use tablets and various online applications, including online banking, shopping, video call platforms, YouTube, Facebook, reminders, health, and wellness apps, among others.

The T4S@Home program was held in the past two months, perfectly timed to coincide with the Holiday season. This initiative provided a fantastic opportunity for learning and bonding between employees and their families. The challenge was for registered ST employees to give their family member the T4S course over 12 hours using the provided materials. The program encouraged the use of educational apps listed in the accompanying documentation, making it a wonderful opportunity for learning and bonding at home.

22 participants successfully completed the program, proud of receiving a certificate and a token of appreciation from us. Additionally, we will be raffling off two brand-new tablets to participants who completed the course. These devices will greatly improve the ongoing learning experience and wellbeing of the lucky raffle winners.

Kudos to the ST volunteers for this innovative and impactful program! Congratulations to all the participants who completed the course and thank you for making this initiative a success. This program not only enhanced digital literacy among seniors but also strengthened our family bonds during the holiday season.
