A summer of learning, bonding, and discovery with T4K@Home in the Philippines
This summer, we proudly completed another edition of the “Tablet for Kids at Home” (T4K@Home) course in Laguna (Philippines), part of our flagship Tablet for Kids (T4K) initiative. Now in its fifth year, the program continues to offer something special to STMicroelectronics employees and their families: an opportunity to learn, bond, and grow together.
Designed exclusively for ST employees of the ST sites in the Philippines, this initiative gives young learners a fun and guided way to explore tablets. Through interactive lessons and hands-on activities, children discover how technology can support learning, spark curiosity, and build confidence for the future.
The program ran from May to June, with participants challenged to complete 20 hours of learning using the course materials. To complete the journey, each child also took an online exam to assess their progress. In the end, 17 participants proudly received certificates and tokens of recognition. One lucky participant also took home a brand-new tablet through an electronic raffle!
“The program helped my niece explore educational apps during her summer vacation, while also giving us more time to connect through our discussions. In addition, we developed a stronger bond, and she learned things that will help her in the future, such as navigating Google Maps and finding a house if she wants to take a short vacation. Overall, the T4K program is very helpful, and I am very thankful to be part of this program,” said Crista-lyn F. Malitig.
For Myla Rose Anives, the experience was just as memorable. As the raffle winner, she described the program as a meaningful way for working parents to spend intentional, quality time with their children despite busy schedules. In her own words:
“Through the sessions, I was able to bond with my kids in a fun, engaging, and educational way, which made our connection even stronger. It was heartwarming to see how they interacted with me during the activities, and I truly appreciated the joy, excitement, and learning that each session brought. I could clearly see their eagerness, creativity, open-mindedness, playful instincts, and growing confidence, which made the experience even more special and memorable for us as a family. My family and I are also truly grateful to the ST Foundation for the brand-new tablet.”
Through programs like this, we continue to create opportunities that make a real difference — one child, one family, and one shared experience at a time.
